Are your levels stable now? I did the same thing, I think I gained maybe that much, however, I was at 88 lbs before surgery. I hit 134 lbs after the TT.

For me it took eating right, it did take about 3yrs or so to get back to normal weight. It took a year to get my dosage to where it needed to be. I do eat okay now. I eat a lot of protein, but I love meat.

How long has it been since you had the surgery?

Please post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report so that members can better assess the adequacy of your testing and treatment.  Also, if tested for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin, please post those, along with ranges.

I had Total Thyroidectomy surgery in 2009 after a Orthopedic Surgeon found 11 malignant tumors, while checking my neck and shoulder. They were diagnosed as Papillary and Follicular carcinoma and surgery scheduled.

I have had a major problem with my weight which is now at 230 lbs, I've gained about 40 lbs and haven't found a successful way to drop my weight and keep it off...

I am also tired all the time, moody and keep gaining weight since my cancer surgery.
