0.00 TSH

I have been being treated for hyperthiroid/Graves disease for almost 4 years.  I just got my blood work back and my T4 is 2.4, my T3 is 8.9 and my TSH is 0.  My symtons are not what you might expect.  I am always cold during the day, hot flashes when I sleep.  I am tired a lot and fall asleep very easily.  I get heart palpitations and the shakes, but that ususally subsides if I eat.  I also have endometriosis, diagnosed 8 years ago and take orthocyclin every day to supress symtoms.  I am only 26 years old and need some help to get my energy back.  I am taking 10 pills a day for the hyperthiroid and the only option the Dr. gave me is to have it removed, but my symtoms are not that of a normal thiroid problem.

I am 11 years RAI treated Hyper/Graves.  I have always been a cold person, AM, PM, winter, summers. I never had a hot flash.  You are tired because with a TSH of 0 you are on over drive and being worn out, so naturally you would be tired.
Heart palpitations and the shakes even subsiding after eating is a symptom of hyper.  I get all the above with exception of hot flashes, when my TSH is out of Labs hyper range and due to over medicated.

You didn't say what medication you are on. I suspect ATDs (?) thereby in which case, another type of treatment may be required to control your levels.

What is your Lab reference range for your T levels.  I don't recognize or relate to your   levels.  You should have the FTs done which will give a truer thyroid statues.  Certain factors interfere with T levels, where they don't interfere with the FTs.

Your options are:
Exhaust all your drug doses until you run out - see if you can find better dose that works.
RAI
Surgery.

Good luck!

What 10 pills are you taking for hyper?  I had Graves' Disease and I never heard of taking that many pills and can't imagine what they would be.

Your symptoms are hyper.  You need to do something to get it under control and antithyroid meds are not a long-term solution b/c of the damage they do to the liver.  It is better to be hyper than to be ont he meds and that is very hard on your body as well.

Why do you say the symptoms are not the same as a thyroid problem?  From  what you explain, they sound like symptoms of  hyperthyroid.  What pills are you taking for the thyroid?  10 pills of what?  Some people whether they have thyroid problems or not still experience being on the cold side.  You might need to have your adrenals checked.  adrenal fatigue has the same symptoms as hypothyroid.  Get a full panel blood test done including metabolic panel, DHEA, cortisol, B12 and Vit D.  A lot of people on this forum  have had Grave's disease and might have more information for you.  Keep checking back.
