I was diagnosed with Hoshimoto's Thyroiditis in 1984. A 1 inch mass and 2 nodules were discovered recently and I had a biopsy that indicated that the mass and nodules were not cancerous. I have had difficulty swallowingPainful swallowing Swallowing difficulty, have a hoarse voice and sometimes breathing seems difficult. I feel that he mass should be removed, but my doctor prefers to wait. I also had breast cancer 14 years ago and am worried about the mass in my thyroid. What do you recommend?
I am not an expert by any means but you may want to get a second opinion. You really need to make sure that you feel comfortable with what is going on. Good LUck
I can imagine the anxiety you're going thru.. .Ditto what Maryrose suggests., so you won't have to constanly wonder the 'what ifs'. My prayers are with you.
After my sister had a TT in Dec of o6 with papilary cancer and my diagnocis in Nov of 07 of Thy Ca I feel a wait and see attitude is way too conservitive. What will it hurt to have a second oppinion At the veru least it will give you peace or a new direction. Hang in there, My prayer and thoughts are with you.
