Your OB/Gyn should be able to start you on thyroid replacement meds. It's a commonCommon cold complication of pregnancy. Followup with the endocrinologist (most work handHand or foot spasms Hand tremor-in-hand with OB/Gyns) but get on meds ASAP - it will keep the baby healthier, help prevent miscarriage (even at this stage), and help you feel better.
TSH of 8.82 is too high, but it is not so high that there should be complications for the baby. However, you do need to start thyroid meeds. As utahmomma said your obe should be able to start you on these meds (thyroxine - starting dose will probably be 25 or 50 mcg) even in advance of you seeing the endocrinologist.
I am now 5 1/2 months pregnant and have hypothyroid. My baby seems to be doing fine.
Thank you so much!!! I called my ob and told her I couldn't get in for a few weeks, she called in a prescription for me. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
