14 yr old boy

My son has just been diagonsed with Grave's Disease. He has had the 123 Up Take done. We are being told that the percentages that are normal are between 10-15 %. My son has come back with results of 65%. No one could see to answer me on what this means. He has 3 10 minute scans done, then a leg and neck scan where it showed a chart, which is where the 65 % came from. . What does the 65 % mean? It scares the heck out of me that his levels are really out of sight. What is the next step from here for us?

A high uptake may indicate that hyperthyroidism is caused by  Graves' disease.

There will be treatment option. RAI, ATDs or surgery - least recommended and desireable for Graves'.
