3 miscarriages w/ hypo

by allsizepro, Feb 16, 2008 06:24PM
I have had 6 successful pregnancies and now 3 miscarriages at less than 8 weeks pregnant. I take 50 levothyroxine and have been told I am in my normal range for over a year now. My OB is a family doctor who seems to not think miscarriages are a big concern. I am wondering if I should increase my thyroid dosage right away (5 weeks pregnant). How long would it take to see a change in my levels if they are going bad? Would I have enough time to increase my dose if I saw that my thyroid levels have decreased? Thank you for your time.

You need to put your blood work out here to see where you are at.

4 to 6 weeks after a dosage change is the norm on seeing any difference in TSH levels. Are you concerned the hypothyroid is the reasone for the miscarriages? Were you told that?
