It may also be a case of you just have to wait another month or two before you feel better.
Were you having these symptoms before you started the medication? If so, you may take a while to recouperate, as well as letting the body get used to the med.
Depending on how long your hormones have been out of balance, it can take a while for symptoms to clear up.
seems the headaches have let up some this week... now the anxiety is soemthing else.
Where are your Free T3 and 4 levels at?
Just because you are set within the ranges of normal TSH ranges doesn't mean all is balanced yet.
I would take up the suggestion to go on the name brand Synthroid med instead of what you are on.
Headaches are very common with treatment - they last about two weeks and when the body starts to use the meds the way intended - they should go away.
anyone else get anxiety from the meds??
i've had headaches ever since beoming hypothyroid and my TSH and T4 levels keep jumping around. You may want to try a higher dose. When i managed to get my TSH to 0.5 my headaches decreased in intensity.
oh and the headaches started about 2 weeks into taking the L-Thyrozine, and the anxiety about 3 weeks in.
oh oophs... that would help, sorry. I am on L-Thyrozine at 100mcg. I was diagnosed about 2 months ago with Hypothryoid when my TSH came back at 14.
What are you on meds for .. hypo by itself or caused by an autoimmune or other? This may help with some answers .. C~
What kind of meds are you taking? Dosage?
I had the same problem when I was on Levothyroxine. Dr switched me by my request to Synthroid and I am feeling much better.
I am no expert but from what I have read here, it does take time for your body to get back to normal and for you to feel better. 1.3 may not be your ideal level. Talk to the Dr about it and see what he/she thinks.
