9.8 Throid stimulating hormone
I had the radioactive iodine in August. My Throid stim hormone dropped to .04 and was perscribed 75 mico....of Synthroid. The next test showed the hormone level at 9.8 but they incresed the medicine to 88 micros. If it went fom being below the tolerance level to above the tolerance level why would the medication be increased?

it is opposite. IF TSH is low you need less meds. If TSH is high, you need more.
For fine-tuning though it is best if they can measure FT3 and FT4 which are the active thyroid hormones.
They should test again in 6 weeks and you could ask for teh additional testing then.
