No secret squirrel stuff, just answered by PM.
Made you younger, too. :o)
I see my Doc this Friday and would appricate anything you can add.
My questions to him are:
Is it normal for my TSH to go from 2.89 to 10. in a matter of months? (6 months)
Does the history of my TSH from earlier years matter?
Should I get retested just to double check? And should'nt those test include the Antibody; TGab test.
What is your target TSH for me?
Is my thyroid dying or is this something that is happening because of menopause?
Is there any other alternatives such as herbal or diet?
I Googled microsomal. :o)
I've read this stuff a hundred times and posted it twenty times, but my memory is pretty bad. TPOab has so many names I can never remember them all.
There is also TB II, and TB I, I suppose. They are thyroid eye disease antibodies.
I could tell you how each one works, but it's past my bedtime.
LOL!
You the man......Where do you get all your information?
Short answer is...yes.
It's called TGab, also known as;
Thyroglobulin antibody test
Antithyroglobulin antibody test
Thyroglobulin auto antibody test
It is one of several thyroid antibody tests.
There is TSI (Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglobulin antibodies). It determines whether or not Grave's disease is present.
TPOab, the most common antibody. It has at least four names.
Thyroid Peroxidase antibodies
Thyroid peroxidase autoantibodies
Antimicrosomal antibodies
Antithyroid Microsomal antibodies
Probably has other aliases as well. LOL!!!
Then there is TRab, or Thyroid Receptor antibodies.
