AR can you help again?

Hi,
I have been doing some digging into my levels. I will keep it to a minimum but I would like your advice on these. I am going to see my GP on Monday and want to make sure that I know what I am talking about when I go in. I have an appt with an Endo but she can't see me until the end of December and I need some relief from my symptoms now.

I think I might be over medicated. I know you are the level expert and am hoping you can make heads or tails out of all this. I started having chest pains and tachycardia problems, anxiety, heart palps, and panic attacks on and off since 2003. No real problems before that. Is it reasonable to assume that the med change screwed me up?

When I see my GP on Monday I want him to see all of these numbers. He has been telling me for months that my levels are fine. I have been doing all this research on my own. Have gotten copies of everything I can from the Lab.

Looks like you are hyper. Do you still have a thyroid?

I had a TT in 1994 was on 200mcg for 12 years, but started going hyper again for some unknown reason. Changed my dosages due to be over medicated, down to 150mcg. I was steady for the last two years, with the TSH being 2-3, but the last 8 months my TSH has been dropping all the way to .5, so dropped the dosage again to 125mcg, TSH is at .95 at the present. I do not know why the levels changes, but it does.

My PCP thinks I am still low and being over medicated, but my Endo likes the level right where it is and does not want to change my dosage. I thought about dropping my dosage down to 100 mcg, but fear of getting symptoms of hypo, and I have enough issues as it is, so did not want to risk it. I did have my blood work done last week again, but have not heard one way or the other if everything is okay. I am assuming no news is good news.....

Several observations;

Your latest test is bothersome. Your TSH is low, getting into hyper territory, but your Free T4 is not high and your Free T3 is low. Your Free T3 should be above midpoint on the lab range. Actually, your Free T3 should be at least 3.2 for your TSH to be as low as it is.

Are you being tested once a year? You can't control your levels with one test a year. Totie makes a very good argument for that with her history of dosage reductions. Our bodies change, and who wants to be on the wrong dose of meds for nine months waiting for the "yearly exam"?

When you line them all up, it looks like you have been slightly overmedicated for several years. Your Free T4s look a little high right up until the last test.

Suddenly your T3 looks low but your TSH is still low.
That just isn't the way it's supposed to be. I wonder if your Free T3 test result was an error. I wonder if you had your TSH tested again today if it would be quite a bit higher.

Tell the doctor that you have these symptoms, which scream overmedicated, and discuss the last set of tests, along with the others.

Either you are overmedicated, or you cannot tolerate the medication, or your adrenal glands need testing. The last set of tests makes it hard to assume anything.

I'll dig around a little after a nap and see if there is something I missed in your previous posts.

Yeah right,, if you are faking it then you are a pretty good faker. Maybe you should go into politics.

No i am being tested more than once a year. I only gave you 1 a year to keep it simpler.

( I've been having palpitations all day LOL)

I have never had a Free T3 before this last test and the only reason it is there is because I requested it along with the antibodies tests, thanks to your recommendation.

My GP obviously likes the TSh test, He doesn't check anything else unless the TSH is low then he asks for the T4 to be run. If my TSH was in range he would leave me alone.

Hope you had a good nap. I can't seem to sleep very well lately and a nice cozy nap sounds really good.

I still have my thyroid. I have a small nodule on it. (posted 2 days ago with the results but really didn't get a response on anyone's thoughts about where the nodule is and if I really need to worry about it).

I wonder why the fluctuation all of the sudden with you. I just want to be where I am in line and not feeling any symptoms. i think my TSH needs to be higher so some of these symptoms will just go away.

I was reading that if t3 is lower than t4 with a low tsh it could be hashimoto thyroditis but I don't really have all those symptoms. Any ideas?
