Sorry to be writing again so quickly, but I posted a question to you last night about my doctor changing me from ArmourArmour thyroid to Synthroid. I had written to you last month about having heart palpitationsHeart palpitations and you told me that sometimes due to age (I had been taking it for 40 years with no problem) - that the T3 was too hard on the heart. My doctor's appointment yesterday showed that having 4 reductions on dosage, I was still getting too much thyroid and he changed. me. My question was whether I should let the ArmourArmour thyroid get out of my system before starting Synthroid. He told me I could just start up today. I don't know how long the Armour will take to get out of my system and am still having some heart palpitations this morning, so I didn't start the Synthroid and decided to wait till tomorrow.
How long does it take for the Armour to get out of my system and stop the heart palpitations? Also, what do you think I can anticipate with changing to Synthroid - way I might feel?
