About hair regrowth

Does anyone know how to tell the difference between NEW HAIR GROWTH and HAIR THAT HAS BROKEN OFF?

I see a lot of little hairs sticking up, but I'm not sure if it is just breakage.  I've been taking tons of vitamins and also I'm using Nioxin hair products for about 3 months.

I just noticed in my part, I part my hair in the middle, and there are some hairs sticking up about 1/2 inch.  I did have very dry brittle hair before I stated using Nioxin.  So it is possible it is breakage.

If your hair was damaged it mostly likely is breakage.

Usually new growth will start - especially with Nioxin at the temples for back of the head.
