Hello, My mom is 66 now, she was wrongfully diagnosed with thyroid disease and surgeon rushed to take it out, She is extremely hypo allergenic to almost anything... she takes one from Malasia and Germany, but in few chats we heard that there is natural Pigs thyroid in granules. She cant take anything with additives or with extra stabilization meds, have to be clean, Her T4 level is good, but she is missing T3 at all...she need to have 1/4 of T4 and 3/4 of T3 in dosage. I see that you guys trying Acella and Armour... Whats better or cleaner? Thank you...Alex.
NP Acella Thyroid was 5 dollars a month at Target under my prescription plan. even cheaper if i switch to Home Delivery then it's 10 dollars for 3 months supply. not bad! Kevin
doing good. so far so good. there was a shortage of 90's NP i had to get 60's and half them . but online it looks like there back up in stock to order. . pharmacy said probably have them back in stock next month(90 np) Kevin
Just realized you were in on the whole med mix up last week...sorry for repeating myself!!
Hey kl42---how are you doing???
Thank you!! Funny you should ask what the bottle says! Had a mild crisis last week about just that. I had an extra script for Armour for when I had to bump up my dose slightly and suddenly realized the label said Acella for Thyroid Armour- I freaked out. Had never heard of Acella, hadn't even noticed that before (small light lettering) and was convinced it was why I had had problems in the past. Come to find out my pharmacy had put Armour in that bottle when looking at markings on the pills. talk about confusion-I looked at the other bottle I had stashed, the more recent I had gotten, and it had actual Acella in it. In the course of 24 hours, I figured out that Armour really is poison to me and had never heard of Acella til now, but it looked promising and OF COURSE there was talk of a shortage!!. Very long story short, I called my pharmacy to be sure when I refill it will be Acella, and they said that was what they had. I go to Walgreens and am in Loiusiana and another member here got his at a Target last week in Jersey, i think. We both started roughly on the same day last week. To me, a successful switching of medication is when the med doesn't give you any bad side effects and/or actually makes you feel better. I have had times where my head felt a little "full" not really a headache, but that has passed. Going to have to get the doseage right but I have to say Hello Old Armour? We shall see!! So far so good. I know we are all different, but i would recommend this.
Ps. I got mine for $10 I think andour other member got his for $5!!!
Was it easy to find? I read on STTM and about thyroid that Acella had some shipping delays. Maybe thats already over?
I bet this is cheap with some Rx coverage. For some reason it falls under generic, but that doesnt make sense since pharmacies clearly list it in their data base and distribution as Acella Thyroid.
Curious......What does it say on your bottle label.......Acella NP Thyroid or just Thyroid?
Hope you continue to feel good on it, keep us posted.
