new results tsh .035 range 0.40-4.50 t4 free 2.3 range 0.8-1.8 free t3 340 range 230-420 dose lowered from 180 to 170 dailey natural compounded thyroid. feeling better these days . kevin
i hear you. there tested. don't have in front of me.
What results are you going by Kevin? Remember that when on a combo med the TSH will show you as hyper when at an optimal level. You HAVE to be treated by the Free's only.............not the TSH.
:)
GOT RESULTS STILL HYPER?/? DOSE REDUCED AGAIN. CRAZY
did blood tests Saturday waiting on results,. achenes is gone joint pain gone clicking mostly gone . sometimes tired. drained waiting to see the new numbers other than that pretty good.
most achenes is gone now. some cracking in joints but not bad. 5 weeks now after dose reduced also reduced again to 180 now. next blood test next wek. so it does get better. Kevin
Good to hear Kevin......you have come so far in such a short time, that you should be proud of yourself.
Maybe get your Calcium checked....that can cause aches if low .
3 weeks now alot better not 100 percent but better. almost no cracking now in joints . some stiffness in muscles but the achiness has mostly left feel it in the mornings sometimes sometimes hard to get loosen up get going. but overall better heading in the right directions.
2 weeks now since reducing the dose. definately better still some aches and joint stuff but alot better than a month ago.
definitely less achy now. joint better less cracking stiffness. heading in right direction i think
endo lowered dose again today to 180 natural desiccated compounded thyroid all week. from 180 5 days and 200 2 days. last test run by rheumiest. was tsh of 0.71 still having symptoms wants retest in 6 weeks all thyroid tests then. i have lab slip. lol
rheumatoid doctor said all OK just adjusting to the dose, that it could take 6 months to fully adjust that's joints cracking muscle aches come from both ends hypo/hyper
Kl42 is right.
The thyroid regulates every organ in the body and if you stop taking, you can go into myexedema Coma.
Please ...see your Doc.
I have had a couple of bouts of going med induced hyper and only stopped for 4 days at the most.
Within 2 weeks, my levels have been hypo again after that 4 days without them.
You need medication regardless of how you feel...maybe starting back on a small dose or a different med.
Please dont ignore Kl42's message.
He is totally correct.
what dd they drop you down too. if you need tyroid meds you have to take them or you will die ,
I too suffered horrible muscle pain after I was increased to 200 mg. It was several days before I could get up from coach or chair and a real struggle to walk.
Now I feel great after getting off the drug. Back to normal, but I wonder what the long term results will be for not taking meds.
im beginning to think the dose i was on at 180 was messed up, tsh came in at 5.77 and was hypo at 200 i was hyper at 0.29 now at 0.71 at 185 doesn't make sense other than that 180 wasn't full strength. maybe the 180 is the correct dose??? and the 180 i was on originally wasn't good
yea its less now and I'm not as achy, but still joints are clicking painful. i think it might be from being a little on the hyper side , but im not sure, it was worse a few weeks ago before i reduced my dose.
I remember you've had joint pain for quite some time. And you've had different meds. Was there a recent time that your joint pain was minimal? And what med where you on at that time?
Its about the finest cellulose available for a script filler. I have an extremely hard time with cellulose of any form.
Some compounds are made with acidophillus - ginger - or even olive oil - in case you feel one of those fillers would work better. Not all compound rx's are available with other fillers either - you have to locate a pharmacist that uses these.
if i was lactose intolerant id be in trouble. drink milk every day.
Avicel
Trade name for microcrystalline cellulose that has been partially hydrolysed with acid, and reduced to a fine powder, used as a fat replacer. It disperses in water and has the properties of a gum. It is used in oily foods such as cheese and peanut butter, as well as in syrups and honey, sauces, and dressings.
Maybe you are Lactose intolerant as another type of sugar is Lactose but they have that in the T4 med too and I'm fine with it.
got other test back .cbc, Rheumatoid ,all blood test , infection, Lyme disease were neg, (normal) tsh is up to 0.71 now from 0.29, 3 weeks ago. gp thinks its possible the side effects from being hyper wants re-check with endo in a few weeks or referral to rheumiest. but everything looked good. they think it's adjusting to thyroid meds.
compound er said its something called avicel. i think its a cellulose fiber. the compounder said they don;t have reactions to it. others available are a type of sugar?
10.4 gpoimg to re ask that today
