Add your tips and stratagies for thinning hair please

I've been doing a lot of reading. God bless you all for sharing on this site. If it wasn't for this site I would be a hysterical mess right now.

Any how, I had hair so thick, they would charge me double for everything they did to my hair at the salon. Long full Irish curls. About five years ago, I noticed it was falling out a lot. Thinning, which my mother, friends and doctor explain was due to the stress I had endured having two babies back to back (to avoid freezing sperm), while being the sole bread winner, so that my husband could beat cancers booty. (He did beat it REAL good!)

Well...fast-forward five years, through many symptoms treated by doctors or dismissed...today, I am Hashi's with PCOS and possible thyroid cancer...meeting my surgeon this week to discuss my TT.

As a woman, I can deal with the weight gain and other not so pretty symptoms, but the hair loss is tough.

So...instead of me asking yet another doctor and being dismissed. I thought it would be nice to ask here from the experts.

I read primrose and rogaine. Anyone know how much, how often? What are other kinds way of dealing with it..hair styles, hair treatments?

I have not yet been medicated by any doctor, so I am really worried about taking Syntoid (sp?).

I looked into that Ikoosa, and it is expensive. I beleive $100 just for the trial. I went to my wonderful beautician and she layered my hair with several long and short layers.

It look so much fuller. She also sold me this wonderful mousse that adds fullness, Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam. It smells like Pina Colada. I just love it.

I opted out of a perm and color because my hair is dry right now and chemicals make it worse.

I cannot believe what you and your hubby have been through! OMG! You know, Hashi can be brought on by stress, and hubby's cancer, plus babies back to back will definitely do it!

I'm sure you both definitely don't take life for granted.

:) Tamra
