Alcohol

Has anybody had trouble handling their alcohol since having TT and RAI?  I held a function the other night and had a 'few' wines during a six hour period interspersed with soda water (club soda?)  I had less than I would have had before my surgery (I am dieting) but later on that night I was violently ill and the next day it was like I was thrown back into hypo hell - cold, shaky, dizzy and absolutely exhausted.   I know I did not have toooooo many because I consciously kept count.  Does anybody know if this could be affected by thyroxine medication or maybe just because I don't have a thyroid anymore my metabolosm couldn't handle the wine.

I drank shortly after my TT- I think before I even started meds., and after two drinks, I was dry heaving (sorry) over the toilet!  I felt so sick.  I was extremely hypo then- very bad idea.  I notice alcohol hits me quicker than before but I haven't gotten sick again.  I drank several maragaritas the last week- it did make be forget about the pain. :)

YOU BET IT DOES and it also interacts with otc meds with me, too as well as asthma meds....all heightened.  My Endo confirmed all of the above that I noted due to synthroid.  But, with time it has lessened to me as my body adjusted to the Synthroid dosage BUT BUT BUT I still have trouble spacing out other perscription meds (anti inflammatory) bcz if taken too close I get very dizzy!!!!!

I have Hashi and am taking thyroxine. I have noticed too that I can't tolerate alcohol as well as i used to. It also makes me quite depressed now and often even with only light use i can't remember the night before.I think it also makes my joint and muscle pain worse.
