Another hair loss question....sorry

HI everyone!!!
I'm new here and look forward to chatting with you all. I've seen some questions about hair loss but nothing answers them all.

Mainly how long will this last?!?!? (Started synthroid about 3 months ago and seems like hair loss got worse)
Also is it the meds that cause this or just being hypothyroid? I am on 100mcg and just have my levels tested this week and all was good. Is there anything I could do or take to help my hair?!?!?! I had breakage big time be4 and my hair was finally starting to grow out, now I am back ay square one. Really ***** when you have naturaly curly hair.

I was hypo from July to September in prep for RAI and began losing my hair. I am still losing my hair. Granted, I did have a lot to start with but I sure hope it stops soon because I've lost about 1/2 of it.

First of all, Hi, and welcome to the gang! Secondly, no one knows the answer to how long it'll be before any of us have a great head of hair again. From what I have learnt anything that happened about 3 months ago is what causes the hair to fall out. It takes that long for it to have an effect. Ihad surgery in Dec 07 and my hair loss got alot worse in Feb 08 ..still going bald! Lucky I had a lot of hair to start with!
Hair grows exceptionally slowly so the only I can suggest is patience....and a wig...just kidding! I could cut off my long hair and donate some to you!
