Antibodies

by tg1991, Sep 12, 2008 07:18PM
I have been hypothyroid since the birth of my first child in 1995.  The doctor felt my neck and found a goiter and ordered tests.  I have been taking Synthroid since then.  Over the years I have struggled with tiredness, weight, cold/chills. Recently, with a new doctor had an ultrasound done which made him test my antibodies as the ultrasound came back abnormal.  My antibodies came back as 2040, the doctor told me a normal read is 35.  I am now waiting to see an endocrinologist.
In the last year I have been very achy, muscle pain and sore, even when not ding much.  What does his diagnosis of thyroiditis mean?
