Yes it does get better and it does get easier.
Anxiety is a big problem with both Hyper and Hypo but can be minimised by getting your levels in order. Once you stabalise, it isnt too bad.Sometimes it goes completely.
I hope that helps you.

Yes it does as the others have said above. I get a lot of anxiety. My thyroid swings between hypo and normal. Everyone with experience here has told me that anxiety is a big part of symptoms, even though it used to be more associated with hyperthyroid, it is now recognised as part of hypothyroid too.

I experienced Anxiety for the first time with Hypo, most doctors will tell you that it is a symptom of Hyper not Hypo but I have spoken to a lot of Hypo people who list Anxiety as on of their biggest symptoms. When the anxiety hits me it's like a wave and  I am terrified for not particular reason,  it can last minutes, hours or even days, and can also be accompanied by physical symptoms. Like mozartcowgirl I find that adjusting by Levothyroxine very slightly I can be almost anxiety free. My doctor prescribed 100mcg which put my TSH at 0.84 (I feel more comofrtable between 1 and 2)  I find that taking 100mcg one day and 75mcg the next keeps me about right, but everyone is different.  Try not to let it get you down it will get better.

I just wonder why they have not added it as a symptom to most of the information out there on Hypothyroidism.  It would be helpful for people like me that have this and feel so abnormal.
