Anyone born with only one lobe?

I'm curious bc my own research seems to show that it is unusual but I wonder if anyone with one lobe has any thyroid issues?

I just found out a week ago I have NO left lobe - I never had surgery - therefore I was born without it.

My Sister In Law found out only when they went in to remove the one side in a partial and found out the nodule was so huge it passed thru her isthmus and took up the spot where the other half should have been so she ended up on thyroid meds since her partial became a TT but luckily it was not cancer.
