Anyone tried Thyroid Assist or Thyromine?

by RyCoLow, Mar 14, 2008 01:41PM
A little background: My test results were normal and I was given Wellbutrin and Trazodone and sent on my way. I have just about every symptom of hypothyroid, and I'm convinced that something is acting on my thyroid. Anyway, I ran across these two natural supplements and wanted to see if anyone had tried either of them. Thanks in advance for your input!

Hi I am a Hypothyroid sufferer also and I have used thyroid assist for 3 weeks now and it actually works very well before i was on thyrox and it was making me jittery and nervous like I was high or something and since I have been taking thyroid assist I have been feeling like a brand new person...so give it try and tell me how it works for you...

Ry Hi, do you know what your TSH is? or T4, T3,?

Mahoganym did you take any rx while you are taking thyroid assist? I believe that is a Natures sunshine product isn't it?

Just be extremely careful, and selective, with any homeopathic and botanicals for hypothyroidism.  1st make sure you have HYPOthyroid, which means your t3/t4 are too low.  2nd make sure any botanical, herbal, or homeo is USP certified.  That basically means it's a quality product, held to good USA standards, and not chinese herbal **** that was grown on toxic mine tailings.

I just found your post from March and it sounded so much like my situation...I was on wellbutrin (and a bunch of other stuff) and took trazadone to sleep.  My tests were normal and I had all the hypo symptoms...just like you.  Finally in March the dr tested me for antibodies and it came back positive.  I've been taking 25mg levothyroxine and have stopped taking wellbutrin and trazadone.

Were you tested for antibodies?
