Armour thyroid medicine making me hungry

I just started taking Armour Thyroid medicine about a week ago.  I am noticing a difference in my energy levels and love that my feet and hands aren't freezing all the time.  However, starting yesterday I noticed that I am so hungry, so often.  It comes on so quick and I think I could eat the kitchen table!!  I eat healthy usually 3 meals and 2 snacks per day and excercise normally, but now I feel still hungry sometimes after I eat and definately within 2 hours of eating I am starving again.  I don't want to gain weight, I understand this is speeding up my metabolism,  will this level out??

My hunger increased as I started on Armour also. If I spread the dose throughout the day, I still feel great and don't have that excessive hunger.

Doing the Armour sublingually has made me feel so much better then swallowing it. This might not be a safe way for everyone though.

Yes - things are starting to move faster again for you.

My suggestion is to increase your water intake. Drop a lemon in the water too. Lemon will curve that urge to eat more and the water will make you full. Plus you will be flushing your system too.

If you are still hungry - even with the increase in water - add some fiber once in a while to your water - like psyllium husk - that will help your GI system too - along with helping you fill full and it will stop you from snacking.
