Autoimmune Diseases and Endometriosis

In doing my research into endo(metriosis) I read on a lot of thyroid websites how the two go hand in hand.  They claim it is the thyroid being out of whacked that causes the endome.  But only if you have autoimmune thyroid disease.  Now I have found websites that claim the ai disorders are b/c of the presence of endome.  Supposedly you are born with endome. and your internal being so messed up by it causes the antibodies.  This is their theory.

When msfergy, Tina, was on here she was getting worse by the day.  Then she left to have a complete hysterectomy and just disappeared.  So I messaged her and found out that after the surgery she is completely healed!  She had no idea she had this.  I have an appt on the 27 with a gyno to be checked for endome. b/c I can pretty much check off every symptom and my health seems to be going down hill as well.

Just food for thought that some of you might want to check into.

Thanks for the Msfergy update. A couple of weeks ago I posted here for Msfergy, trying to get an update from her about her surgery and health. She was so sick, it's so fantastic to hear that she is finally feeling better!! I was getting a little worried. This is wonderful news!! Nice to know! Thanks for the update. This is a really good website for list of symptoms.  Is a lot broader and more explained than the other websites I found on my own.  This one was given to me on the endometriosis website.   www.endo-resolved.com   They can have the diet, but other than that it was really interesting reading and a lot of good information.

I'm thrilled for Tina, too.  I remember all the time she said she was getting worse and worse and now she healed!  I'm hoping for the same results.   A healing!

Hi, Dac -- I'm so glad that you mentioned MsFergy!!!! And even happier to hear she is completely healed!!! That's sooo VERY great!!!!!!!!! I've been wondereing how she was!!! I often responded to her posts, we had some the similar symptoms, but she was definitely much worse than me. The info on endometriosis and thyroid is also very interesting, and worth looking into for any woman w/ autoimmune thyroid disease and chronic symptoms. I'll definitely address this w/ my MD.
