Blood Results Borderline

Hi ,
I have recently had a very noticeable change in my body that began about three months ago. I'm a nineteen year old female healthy as can be. About three months ago my Bowel movements suddenly changed. I'm constipated all the time, my abdominal area is bloated all the time, I have gained weigth only on my stomach, My last periods have been unusually longer and heavier than normal. I visited my GP he said there was nothing major to worry about. He suggested a diet change and excersize ( I weigh 105 by the way). He had some blood work done on me and when the results arrived I called the office and spoke to a nurse. She explained the doctor said everything seemed good exept my thyroid levels were Borderline .....??? And the Doctor wanted to wait an additional three months. I personally feel there is something to worry about. before the last three months Ive never in my life have had significant problems with any of the symtoms I have now.....I did some research and thought maybe it could be hypothyroidism.....Any thoughts as to what it could be ? Should I even wait longer ? What If it gets worse?

Do not ever go by your TSH to diagnose any thyroid problems, the blood tests are not accurate, instead take your morning basal temperature, you can google basal temperatures to read more. TSH tests are lousy and many are suffering from doctors relying on them way too much.
Also, you can google the words :stop the thyroid madness and there you will find some light at the end of the tunnel, it saved my life for sure.

Hi I keep swinging from normal to borderline high and they won't treat me till my thyroid dies properly, so that's why your doc is rechecking it in 3 months. You could ask for it sooner as said above though. But in my case, they have been borderline for over a year, so it could take a long time before yours goes over too or it could happen sooner. It's different with everyone apparently.

At 105 pounds I think the pooch area of your belly maybe not as bad as you think.

But I am very familiar with feeling like the way you are. I look PG now all the time. I believe it is a combination of weight but also heavy bloating more so.

I am hashi hypo.

If you are really worried about it id wait about another month a then insist on another test. Sounds like you could be hypo. Constipation is a symptom. Or if you cant wait insist on another retest now or see another doctor or you can test yourself through an online lab if you dont live in CA or NY.If he said its borderline hes probably right. Id post your labs on here for review. Easy way to get an answer.
