Blood test or glucose meter for OGTT test accuracy

I had the two hour ogtt with blood drawn as well as the gluclose meter with 75 gm high sugar  drink.


my question is at the end  which was 2 hours from start time the blood drawn was  a result of 115 however with 2 minutes between the gluclose meter ( finger ) was 141

Which is the number that counts, my doctor told me he won't test any further unless I hit 170 at the end.

Hi friend, have your doctor test A1c & HbA1c, most physicians use this test to determine diabetes control.

From my experience, if your level is 115/141 two hrs after sugar intake, this indicates pre-diabetes.  30 min - 1 hr workout on treadmill daily, will help levels stay in check without meds.  Good luck :)
