Blood work near normal, still have symptoms.

I am a 59 year old female.  I have been on Thyroid med since 1983/4. All through the years, only problem weight gain.  Beginning about 5 years ago, Ive gone through 2 Thyroid storms(?)!  However, i called them coma.  I couldnt hardly get out of bed.  If i did, I was shortly back.  Normally a very out going person.
Ive been with an endo. Dr for about 4 years.  Diagnosed with Hashimotos.  Ive always been on Synthroid, .2 mcg.  Last 4 months, changed to Synthroid .075 once a day. Liothyronine 25mcg twice a day!!  Actually began to lose weiht! Really thought this was the key, Thank You Jesus!  Suddenly started with racing heart beat! Called Dr. He said to cut back to 1 a day on Liothyronine. Here come the weight back and then some, along with head aches, fatigue, hands, feet and legs swelling looking like balloons.
Just had blood work last week,
T4 Free Direct:  .063.
TSH.                  2.46
Triiodothyronine, Free, Serum  3.7

All within limits. Except T4 a little low. Dr said all was good, didnt change med. However I still have above mentioned symptoms.  What do I need to do???

Thyroid storm is caused by severe hyperthyroidism or over medication... Coma is when you are completely unconscious... please describe the episodes you are referring to so we can better understand the symptoms you had.

25 mcg liothyronine twice/day is a very huge dose of T3 med; it's no wonder you had symptoms of over medication...

I agree -- please post the reference ranges for the labs listed above since reference ranges vary lab to lab and clarify the FT4 result... Did you, by chance reverse the FT4 and TSH results?

please mention the reference range too which is given on that lab report slip.

is .063 tsh or free t4?

if free t4 is low you need to take levothyroxine (t4).
