The only thing I remember when I was Grave's hyperthyroid was a slight twitching in my left eye and sometimes I thought I had a cloudy vision that would go away.

I did not get TED - thyroid eye disease though.

very happy about that!

Thank you..Ive read about graves eye disease, but It doesnt sound like my symptom.
Who knows maybe Its my imagination.   All the t4 and t3 came back fine so I wont worry about it.   I was just curious.

I have slight TED now, just a slight bulge with on and off blurrrrriness. just a lot of pressure along with extreme dry eye. i go through eye drops like crazy. hope this helps.

But my test came back okay..just came back hyper..Blurriness worries me a little.
Maybe blurriness will eventually go away ..only been on medicine for about two weeks

The bulging eyeballs are the only symptom I haven't experienced from Graves', but I HAVE noticed my vision has gotten worse. The endo sent me to an optometrist and he said everything was ok, but...I'm starting to wonder if docs really know any more than we do.

Ok I just wanted to add to this since I have been experiencing blurry vision my self. I was on 200 mcg of levothyroxine but I think I have gone hyper since loosing 20 pounds so I think I need to get my med adjusted. I am having to wear my readers all the time and its just come on  sicne I have lost the weight . . just have a gut instinct that there is the correlation.  Monday I see my primary care doc  I am going to have all blood tests run and see where my TSH is at.

so my point to this ramble I do think there is a connection between hyper and  blurry eyesight. I know for fact there is one with hypo. MY eyesight got so bad waiting for my first RAI that I thought I would be blind before it was all over.( boobs got bigger too..)

and no I dont think the docs know any more than we do. They jus t happened to have gone to school longer in a specialied field. I think they are ticked off because of the internet and all the info we exchange here. You see post after post of docs telling you not to believe everything you read on the net. HA. It cuts into their business.

I have decided to be my own advocate for me and my health issues. I just need the doc to write the prescriptions.lol

Optometrists are NOT eye doctors. They make glasses. You need an Ophthalmologist, and eye MD. You should also write to a doctor on the eye expert forum, if you do not believe me.

Even if you did not suspect Graves, every one should see an eye MD once yearly. Our eyes are so precious, and so many can go wrong.

My daughter would be blind if an eye MD had not caught her problems. I have had 5 retina surgeries. My sister has graves. Only my daughter's condition and mine are related.

Please take care of those precious eyes.

I've been having vision problems right along.

It's to the point I need new lenses. I'm afraid after I get new lenses my vision will change again, so I keep putting it off.

I find that sometimes my ability to focus is very poor. After a nap, or a lot of computer time it may take five or ten minutes for me to be able to look around without everything being a blur.

My boobs haven't changed a bit, though.
:o)

Funny  AR-10  hahaha

My TEATS have reduced in size due to me loosing all the weight...Hubby is not appreciative of this. hah

As you said, we dont wanna get a prescription change for glasses if we dont need one or our vision changes back after awhile..

I am so glad I dropped my class..I wouldnt of been able to focus..let alone read.\
