Body Restorative Technique

Has anyone considered body restorative technique, performed by chiropractors or by acpuncturists to help but hormones back imbalance after a total thyroidectomy.

I believe this is a good balancing procedure when the thyroid is still intact but don't know if it works if a person is functioning on meds.  BRT is an alternative wellness procedure and I wonder if it would work along with medical doctor procedures especially when it comes to the extra weight.

I have been reading "feeling fat, fussy,or frazzled?"  and I that is what caused me to think of the body restorative procedure. The book only refers to TT once in the book and I am assuming hormone imbalance is same whether a person has a thyroid or not.

I  did BRT years ago and felt great eventhough I never could figure out why and wondered if it was all in my head.   The only reason for quiting was the twice a week appointments and expense which was not covered by insurance. The book also talks about hypnosis for weight loss purposes.

I have heard of this in the past and have also had Acupunture for pain relief although not related to the thyroid.
I totally believe in giving anything a 'go' to at least achieve quality of life.
If it doesnt work then at least you have tried.
Its very easy to get 'overcome' by all the thyroid garbage we go through and like many people, I looked for answers and remedies.
Some didnt do the 'trick' and some did.
So go withever you feel comfortable with.........after all....its your body and your life.
I am seriously thinking of going back to once monthly remedial massages....they are dream for stress lol.
