Body Temperature, TSH

I started Hypothyroid 5 years ago. My under arm pit body temperature was under 96F and I have been taking Armour Thyroid Holmorn ever since. My doctor didn't know how much of Armour Thyroid to use. My TSH was as high as 8.5. I changed doctor and new doctor prescribed 60 mg per day and TSH came down to 0.3. However,my arm-pit body temperature still remains at less than 97F. My doctor doesn't have any idea about the body temperature. My doctor suggested to take oral temperature and it was about 1.0F degree higher. I still have a light fatig in the morning when wake up. Anybody has any idea about my situation????  Thank you.

I'm sure the T3 and  T4 results you mentioned were total T3 and total T4.  Instead of those,  as I previously mentioned, you need to have free T3 and free T4 tests.  Your meds. should be adjusted as necessary to get free T3 into the upper third of its range and TSH in the low end of its range.

Thanks for your information.
My T3 and T4 were in the range, little lower level from the beginning.
When my TSH was 8.5, my T3 and T4 was within range at lower level.
I had never my T3 & T4 level out of range even when TSH was 8.5.
I need your opinion further, Thanks.

With those temperature results, you need to get some further testing done, at least  free T3 and free T4, along with the TSH.  I assume you are taking a T4 only med.   If your body does not convert T4 to T3 very well, that can give you low end TSH without getting your free T3 where it needs to be, namely in the upper third of its range.  Free T3 is the most active component, which largely regulates your metabolism/temperature.
