Brewer's yeast

by anca77, Feb 19, 2009 07:16PM
Did anybody heard about using brewer’s yeast in treating Hashimoto’s thyroiditis?
I just read an article, in a magazine, where somebody is claiming getting cured by drinking 2 Tbs of brewer’s yeast with her morning juice.

Brewer's yeast is an excellent source of vitamin B's, and if you are low in them, hypothyroidism (as well as a plethora of other ailments) can result...Unfortunately, many doctors find it easier (or faster) to just give a patient synthroid rather than pursuing a cause that they may not find...Frequently, but not always,  if the body is healthy and nutritionally complete, ailments will resolve on their own.  The reversal of Type 2 diabetes from excess weight loss is a good example of this. It has even been found to repel fleas when put into dog food! Hmmm...That make me wonder... if hypothyroids are more tasty to fleas or mosquitoes...But I digress... :)      ~MM
