CANCER TREATMENT SIDE EFFECT

by Terry920, Aug 18, 2009 04:17PM
I am taking SUTENT for treatment of kidney cancer metateses and one of the side effects is a problem with my thyroid. In addition my hair has been thinning rapidly. My doctor prescribed Synthroid to be taken one per day for the next 8 weeks - will this "help/stop/slow down" the hair loss. I was reading that it actually could cause more loss in some patients - is this a common side effect? I just don't want to lose anymore hair. Is there an alternative medication that can be taken with Sutent?
