What is the exact mean of a "complex cyst in the lower pole of the right lobe measuring 2.6 cm diameter.  I wan referred to the endocrinologist.

Yes, sounds like they are going to do a biopsy. No problem.....it is over before you know it.  :)

Thank you very much for your comment.  The internist mentioned a needle that will be inserted in my neck (throat), I do not think that she was referring to a biopsy, or probably she thought it was a little bit less scarier than using the right word.  I was advised to check with the endocrinologist and she send for a pletora of tests.7.8x2.4x2.2.cm left obe, right lobe is 8.2x2.3x2.7cm in size and the complex cysts the lower pole of the right lobe measured 2.6x1.4 cm in diameter.(information from the radiolyst findings of an ultrasound taken a few days ago.

A complex cyst consists of cystic fluid and solid tissue both. Most likely they will follow up with ultrasound in 6 mos, unless your Dr feels it is large enough for biopsy.
