Can I blame all this on Graves and treatment?

Hi, I was diagnosed  with Graves disease (while serving in the Armed Forces) and treated with 29.9 milicuries of radioactive iodine 14 years ago and am just now coming forward with some questions. Why do I feel like I'm so different than other people? Why is it so easy for me too fly into an almost uncontrolable rage (road rage) when confronted with other peoples stupidity and or ignorance? Why is it that crowds bother me?  Why can't I find the words to verbally communicate with most people? These are just some of my problems and I'm wondering if any of you other folks with thyroid disorders experience any of these unsocial behaviors like I do.

Thank-you, word retreival is exactly what I mean...I've never used that term before, but that is what my problem is. Forgeting things, mostly things that just happened or more like things I was just told is another problem I deal with daily. I am also on anti-anxiety meds... 350 MGs of Bupropion for Wellbutrin daily, but I still could be a lot happier... Any suggestions?

Sounds like you are in need of an adjustment to your meds.  Went through a lot of that before getting mine stabilized and just below 1.0.

I have difficulty speaking with people. Word retreival is often a problem, and just making myself understood can be a problem.

Talking with more than one person makes me uncomfortable and tires me out. Crowds are no longer the place to be.

Rage hasn't been an issue, but I'm taking anti-anxiety meds.
It sounds like frustration, and frustration can take many forms. I'm plenty frustrated, and it bleeds out in several forms.

I'm expecting a lot of this to fade away with time. I need to get stable first. Maybe your TSH is a little high or a little low. Maybe a med change will clear the symptoms up for you, too.

I'm to get my TSH tested next week. I'm currently taking 0.225 MCGs of Levothroid. Maybe I can look forward to an adjustment soon...

I get the word retrieval issues really bad when my TSH is <1.0 .. my Endo was {{{shocked}}} when I mentioned this but I am certain bcz two times trial and error the meds were adjusted and the symtpoms went away or came back .. the other symptoms you describe could be anxiety ... your TSH can affect that too .. I am not a Dr., not at all .. just a thyroid patient ... but wanted to mention these thougths to you ....

Do you know what your lab levels are?  Have they been tested since these symptoms?
