Can Synthroid make your blood sugar drop?

by hope4thegoodstuff, Apr 22, 2009 07:55PM
Mind you, I have only been back on meds a whopping two days.  Synthroid 150.  But I had this side affect when I was on synthroid before.  I get up, take my medicine and wait the prescribed 1/2 hour to an hour before I eat something.  About 20 minutes after I take the pill, I get this hollowed out feeling.  It's not like an "oh, I'm a bit hungry"  It's a totally hollowed out and almost painfull feeling right below my sternum.  I get jittery and antsy.  Then I eat, it gets better and about an hour later it happens again.  when I eat cereal for breakfast, it's really bad until I eat lunch.  This a.m. I tried peanut butter on bread and the hollowed out feeling hung around until about 9:30 a.m. and got gradually better thru the day.  After I eat lunch, it pretty much goes away completely.  I have yet to find the magic thing that makes it stop in the early hours.
