Can You Have Hypothyroidism With Low TSH, Low T4, Low T3

In 1998 I have half of my thyroid removed along with a golf ball size goiter, a few months later my doctor took me off my meds because my TSH was in the "normal range".  After which I have suffered classic hypothyroid symptoms but, did not know until now that the symptoms I have been suffering from were hypothroid.  Because after I was released from my endocrinologist I start from to my primary care phyisican and was sent to every specialist!  TSH level always remained in the low normal range.  I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia. It wasn't until I started gaining weight 25 lbs in the last 6 months without a change in diet or excerise did I put it together that it can be hypothyroidism.  My primary care phyisican just recently did a Free T3 and Free T4.  My T3 is 2.76 and T4 is .85 and the TSH .86.  I was told I am the "normal range" but, I am definitely suffering from the hypothyroid symptoms.  My question is with both the T3 and T4 being in the low normal range could this still be hypothyroidism?

Thanks for your post.  It is comforting to know I might feel better one day!  After suffering for so many years, I have forgotten what it feels like to feel good!  I am definitely going to have the Endo do a complete thyroid panel.

I have tsh low and ft3 and ft4 low normal range and I can tell you I have been suffering from all hypo symptoms for quite a while . After a long research and a lot of eye openers found on this site I eventually found a decent endo that has diagnosed central hypothyroidism where it is typical to have low tsh,ft3 and ft4. I find that even  if my ft3 and ft4 are low/normal I have all hypo symptoms but if they rise to mid/high those symptoms just disapear. Get yourself a decent endo that knows something and listens! Good luck

I think they need to test your Free T3 and Free T4 levels and not the T3 T4 's
