Can a nodule on the left thyroid cause pressure in the cervical spine area?

I have had pressure and pain in the cervical spine region for years since several major vehicle accidents.
I established care with a chiropractor as my primary care doctor at that time did not seem
interested in this situation.  Six months ago the pain and pressure got worse and I noticed a
nodule on the right side of my neck just under the base of the skull.  I also have some swelling
in the cervical area that has not been there in the past.  My ears feel full and have an ear ache
and jaw pain off and on both sides of my head.  When any pressure is put on my neck in the
C5 area, I feel pressure in my sinus area around my eyes, the bridge of my nose, and in my throat.

My primary care doctor (very good doctor for about 5-6 years) sent me for an Xray, sonogram and
MRI for the nodule on the right side of the neck.  The technician performing the sonogram was
concerned because she could feel the nodule but could not see anything while performing the sonogram.
The results of the tests showed mild to moderate degeneration along the cervical spine-I won't go into
a lot of detail. My primary care doctor sent me to PT, once a week for 3 weeks and each time (manual)
traction was applied, my otherwise real normal blood pressure went soaring to approximately 200/100.
They got scared and stopped my PT treatments and while my doctor was trying to decide what to
do next, she left the hospital-I heard due to stress-and now I am trying to start all over again.
She did say B4 she left she thought I had some blockage somewhere because my blood pressure
should not go up that high and remain there off and on for approximately 24 hours as it had been doing.

Three weeks ago while have a screening (sonogram) of the carotid arteries, a nodule was found
on my left thyroid (.9cmX1.5cm) and showed to be solid.  I have an appointment with ENDO in
approximately 2 weeks.

Could it be possible that the pressure I have been feeling in the back of my neck is related to the
thyroid nodule and have anything to do with my blood pressure experience with Physical Therapy??
Also, my primary care doctor could not explain the nodule on the right side of my neck-she said
maybe it was a muscle spasm??  It is still there.

I appreciate in advance anything anyone can tell me.  My primary care doctor was the best I have
found in over 20 years and I feel I have been given the "brush-off" ever since she left.  Apparently
she did not get to document everything B4 she left as we had been talking after hours on the phone
after she finished with her other patients.  I know from when I was a volunteer EMT that "if you
don't write it down, it did not happen!!".

Thank You!!
