Can a thyroid disorder cause purple fingernails?

Hi, if a person has purple fingernails all the time, can that person have a thyroid disorder?

Are your hands always cold?  You probably have raynauds disease.  I have had this since I was a child.  Basically it is bad circulation in your extremities (hands and feet).

Hi, my hands are cold sometimes, but I don't think the temperature is changing the colour of my fingernails. They are just purple all the time. Do you think it's raynaud's?
