Pls be certain it is your thyroid and not your airway at all ... allergies can cause anaphylaxisAnaphylaxis where the airway closes off ... does this happen at all? Be sure to tell your doctor and I'd get allergy tested for sure with soy ....
And, also that the others mention about idodine ... see if there is a correlation there, too!
I think allergy isn't the reason for thyroid swelling, but soy can interfere with your thyroid as margretto said. I was just saying the possible cause of your EOS being 6.
Yes ,soy and other vegetables, like broccoli, cabbage, turnips, strawberries, ect,
can affect thyroid , but i read if you eat a lot of those, and every day, so probably we need to alternate food, and not to eat the same food daily.
We can drink some organic soy milk, with a good granola cereal, and is healthy, other day we can use Almond milk, or Rice milk, and so.
For me healthy diet is very important, because normally people with Hashimoto's, sometimes don't have enough energy, and eating good and healthy food can help a lot...it does for me.
I wish you all the best on you Thyroid treatments, and God bless you all !!

After avoiding all iodine because of being hyper most of the time, I found something weird after RAI.
My levels are good, been stable for some time now but find that when I eat fish (especially grilled fish), I feel shocking....like a mack truck has run me down.
I have found this twice in the last 4 weeks.
It upsets my stomach and I feel like I want to vomit from it about an hour after consuming it.
I am beginning to wonder if I am allergic to fish now.
No big deal with me but I love fish.
I get no ill effects with tuna (canned).
Weird??

I don't eat soy. I can't eat alot of dairy. And can't eat shellfish at all.
FYI...Lindseyrae; soy is in many, many foods (where you least expect it)...you may be eating soy without realizing it.
