Changing from synthroid to armour

Dear Doctor,
I would like to know whether people usually need a larger dosage of armour compared to the amount of synthroid they were on before switching to armour.

For example, 75mg of synthroid is about the same of 125mcg of synthroid.  If they were on 12mcg of synthroid is it more likely that they'll need more like 150 or 180 on armour?

My doctor switched me to armour after years of being on synthroid 150mcg. she put me on 60mg or armour and no change. my TSH is still 14.0!!! So, I did some research and most people didn't see a change with armour until they were on 3-6 grains ( a grain is 60mg) so now I take 3 grains, which is 3X the synthroid i was on...I am feeling better but I still may need more....give it a few weeks and keep increasing until you feel good again.
