Chronic disequilibrium
I've been constantly feeling off balance for 12 years. I have a constant feeling of disequilibrium.I don't fall down & my coordination seems okay. I feel almost normal when I'm in motion such as driving a car or a bicycle. I also feel much better when I lay down with my head against something.
I feel like I'm always balancing my head in some way. I also have unrefreshed sleep and extremely tired from the dizzy feeling.
I had MRI brain scan and was normal. Stamford Ear Institue found nothing. Blood work is normal.
I tested positve 5 years ago for Yeast overgrowth.after a 3 day stool test. The doctor told me to take probiotics to no avail. I recently tested positive for Yeast overgrowth and parasites from a 3 day stool test.
During this time I've have had a slight goiter. My bloodwork for tsh, t3, reverse t3 are normal.
I had a sonogram that showed nodules & cysts. My body temperature upon waking for the past 7 years is about 96.6 to 97. 3.
Could my condition be thyroid, parasite or yeast connected ?

My symptoms begin with a spinning vertigo attack that lasts a few seconds only. Then I am lest with a constant sense of being off balance, like I will fall to the left whether sitting or standing.
I don't have a goiter and don't take my temps. I have been sensitive to the cold for several years. I was losing a lot of scalp hair and that is growing in now. Even my hairdresser commented. Until recently, I was very tired and napped often. I don't know if that was from the toll the dizziness had on my body or thyroid related. Either way, it is much better.
I hope your next stool test is negative and you can at least be over that.
I agree, it is very hard to go around feeling this way.

I am positive for Entamoieba species trophs & Entamoeba species cyst. The doctor I'm seeing prescribed a dose of Paromomycin. I also took a course of Diflucan for Yeast. I am also taking Armour Thyroid 2 grains a day that I started a week ago. Previously I was taking 1/2 grain a day but he said because of low temp to increase the dose. I noticed hair on my legs have been growing back and my bowel movement have been better. I have the thyroid results but not available right now.
I just took another 3 day stool test to see about my candida-yeast & parasites. The test should be back in a few days.
Have you taken your temperature before getting out of bed in morning. If you temp is low like 97.7 or lower for more than three days you probably have a thyroid issue. Do you have spinning or just feel a constant off center feeling. When do you feel better ? Do you have a goiter, Cold or Heat intolerance
loss of hair especially on outer part of eyebrows.? Do you feel unrefreshed sleep upon waking ?
I have done a great deal of research about this . Let me know !

Do you have spinning or just feel a constant off center feeling. When do you feel better ? Do you have a goiter, Cold or Heat intolerance

I've also had the disequalibrium off and on for 13 years. This last time had been 18 months. Prev diagnosed w/ Meneire's. Treatment didn't help- now I apparently never had it.I never thought I did, either. My TSH was always in the upper end of "normal". All other reasons for vertigo ruled out. Next doctor said Migraine Associated Vertigo. You can have this w/o headache. Didn't believe this was the problem. I always felt the root problem was my thyroid. Mom is hypo.
Fast forward- TSH finally out of normal range. Dizziness can be a symptom of hypo. Some improvement in symptoms in first 2-3 months on low dose Synthroid. Just upped the dose and awaiting results.
I am now ruling out b12 deficiency and am trying to find out the best way to increase my very low ferritin level.
I have 2 nodules as well as positive antibodies. T4 in very bottom end of normal. Sister recently diagnosed hypo as well.
