Chronic hives and Hashimoto's

I have had chronic hives and hashimoto's for about 14 years. Thyroid is some what stable i have been on the same dose of meds for 6 years now. Hives on the other hand get harder and harder to control. What can I do? If you remove the thyroid will the autoimmune responce stop?

I am having the same problem and no one seems to have a cure, just the cause!  At this point I am ready to have my thyroid removed if that is what is causing this. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and my Dr. says that is why I am breaking out in hives.   I am now taking 2 mulitvitamins a day and 1000 IU of Vitamin D along with 6 Zyrtec and 2 Zantac and I am still breaking out every day!  I have only been taking the vitamins for a week, so I am seeing if that will work eventually, but this is so frustrating!  Help!!!!!
