Conflicting thyroid results - low: RT3, FreeT4, Total T-4, FTI and TSH

by cdngrlinla, Aug 27, 2009 01:47PM
I got the following results back:
Free t-3: 2.38
Free t-4: 0.29
total t-4: 1.6
Free Thyroxine Index: 1.4
TSH - 0.070
RT3:71

i'm currently on 100 mcg of T3 and 50 mcg of T4 (compounded) - Should I be increasing my T4 and reducing my T3?
I'm a 34 year old female, fyi.

What are the lab's reference ranges for your Free T3 and Free T4?  Labs use a variety of reference ranges and units, so it's hard to comment without that info.

100 mcg of T3 seems like a lot!!

yes, I know it's a lot, but what's important are my numbers . . even with that amount of T3 I'm at the low end of the range . . when i've been on more "normal" numbers I've been ridiculously low.

Free T3 Ref Range 1.5-5.0 (mine: 2.38)
Free T4 Ref Range 0.6-1.25 (mine 0.29)
