Confusing mess of symptoms

by Ddraig, Sep 22, 2008 09:06PM
Hi all,

I have low TSH (0.2) and elevated ANA.  I have just gotten the results of the TSH and will be heading for a specialist on the 2nd.  I was wondering if anyone out there has an elevated ANA with thyroid symptoms?

You can have elevated ANA's if you have an autoimmune thyroid disease (cross reaction of antibodies), but when ANA's are high you need to look for other autoimmune diseases.
There are other situations that can give positive ANA's :

You must check your thyroid antibodies: TPO, anti-Tg
