Cortisol level and hyothyroidism

by Mimimio, Oct 08, 2009 08:17AM
I've had hypothyroidism for about 5 years and just found out through a blood test that the cause was Hashimoto's disease. The blood test was also quite comprehensive and included a test for my cortisol level. Here are the results:

Cortisol at 8:15am: 30 mcg/dl (normal range is 3.7-19.4)
T3: 3.1 pg/ml (normal range is 1.7-3.7)
T4: 1 ng/dl (0.7-1.48)
TSH: 0.55

Antibodies anti-thyroglobuline: 101.46 (<4.11)
anti-thyroperoxydase: 7.6 (<5.61)

I take 75mcg synthroid and 12.5mcg cytomel.

I am a little concerned about the Cortisol level wich seems quite high, as well as the antibodies. Is this really bad?

thanks
Mio
