Could the low values of T3 and T4 lead to hypothryroid with normal TSH values

Hi

I was having muscle and joint pain along with it skin was warm ...and weakness was there, so i went to the doctor and doctor advised to go for T3, T4 and TSH test. I did that and in the report i was having NORMAL TSH value means the value was in the range but my T3 and T4 values were low ...so what should i do? go for Free T4 test?

Also i was having my hameglobin low 10.2 ....pls advise me what to do?

I think you can have normal TSH levels yet the low T3 and T4 can indicate hypothyroid treatment anyway. I am being treated for hypo and this is how my tests are. I feel like this is a more nuanced and enlightened approach to treatment

I have a low T4 but normal TSH, my G.P in Rep of Ireland says that means I dont require treatment.  I have been getting pains in my toe joints, heavy periods, high cholesterol, slight fluid retention, difficulty loosing weight and fatigue and brittle finger nails,  My Hb is fine, I am on antidepressants profylacticly due to having had a baby 1 yr ago. I cant explain these symptoms at all.

Do you have levels and reference ranges you can post? It is helpful to see the actual lab numbers. The normal value for TSH endocrinologists use is under 3. Is your TSH over 3?

And yes, the free t4 is a better test than total t4.

What was the range for the hemoglobin? A low value may indicate anemia.
