Addison's disease (which is autoimmune like hypo) is more commonly associated with thyroid disease. Addison's is the opposite of CushingCushing syndrome's.
My friend started gaining wt very fast and was tested for everything, finally they tested her Cortisol level and it was REALLY high. Went through all these test and they found she has Cushings disease, which is caused by a tumor on her pituitary gland. She had it removed, suffered a mild stroke from infection (she went through tough time with the whole experience!) but now shes fine. Because alot of her pituitary was removed, she has to take meds for Diabetes insipidus, which is not sugar diabeties. She also cannot have children now because of the lessoned pituitary.

Good luck with the tests.
Best of luck!
Hope this helps. Hope you don't have it!
