Cytomel-Good or Bad?

Was the addition of this med to synthroid or other T4 med helpful for you?  If so what did it improve (i.e. fatigue, hair loss) and how much did you take?

Thanks!

I'm on cytomel also -- I find it very helpful in alleviating my symptoms (mainly lifting the fatigue and brain fog).  My insurance company switched me from cytomel to generic also, I've been on generic for approx a month and doing well so far.  But then I do better on generic levo than I did on synthroid too.

I'm currently on only 5 mcg/day - taken about 7:00 am, which is mid morning for me.

Cytomel has been very helpful to me, because all the local drugstores ran out of Armour, so I had to add in some Cytomel along with my Synthroid, to avoid becoming hypo again.  It has taken a little tweaking of dosage, but so far, so good.

Just for info, I noticed something in the medical info that came with the Cytomel.  It stated that Cytomel has no known side effects.  How many meds do you know that can say that?

I have found Cytomel helpful.  I'm still adjusting it, but right now I take 10mcg in the morning and 10 mcg in the afternoon.  I find I have more energy.  I take the generic and wonder about that though.  Still working on it.
