Cytomel and Synthroid levels

I have a benign thyroid nodule and have been on levothyroxin .25 mcg  and 1/2 cytomel .25 mcg per day for the past year. My levels of late are:
T3 Free non-dialysis  425, and Thyroxin free .67, TSH .24
My energy level is good and I feel fine. My primary care and endocrinologist are in agreement that these numbers are perfectly fine. Do you agree?
Thank you.

Many thanks. It all makes sense to me now.  After my next blood work report I will see if my primary care decides to "balance" my dosages.  I have energy during the day but right around supper time I totally poop out which I am attributing to the time change at the moment. However, my hair seems to be at last growing in thicker and my skin not so dry so I feel the thyroid meds have been a great advantage.

The most important criteria to consider to answer your question is that you are feeling  fine and have plenty of energy.  That's what we all strive for, to be symptoms free.  Your TSH being below the range means nothing unless you have hyper symptoms also.

If anything, you might consider a slight decrease in T3 meds, and a corresponding increase in your T4  meds.  The purpose would be to move away slightly from the high limit for FT3, just to have a little safety factor against slipping over into hyper symptoms. But if you should decide to do this, I would make the move very slowly.

Hi. .
My T3 Free reading of 25 H has a ref. range of 230-420. The Thyrox Free .67 has a range of .75-1.59 and the TSH .24 has a range of 0.40-4.00. Does this help? Many thanks.

Lab results and reference ranges vary among labs so it's important that we also take a look at the reference ranges used by your lab for the FT3 and FT4 results.
