Daughters tyroid may be acting up?

During an X-Ray of my daughters neck by a chiropractor thyroid gland showed up on the X-ray, whereby an X-ray in the same place in 2008, no thyroid gland showed up on the X-ray?
My daughter is 46 yrs and wonders if she should emediately see a Endocrindologist right away?? Please advise.  Howard Picard  hepicard_70***@****

When your daughter has a copy of the test results, post them here with the reference ranges provided for each, this way members can see where she is at regarding her thyroid and advise or comment. Good Luck and Welcome to the forum. Best Regards FTB4

Thank you for you immediate response to my inquiry about my daughter's tyroid situation.  Ironically while my daughter was doing research on the Internet she saw your posting before I did and thanks you sincerely for your advice.  Again, Thank you. Sincerely, Howard Picard

It would not hurt for her to have a thyroid panel done, but she should make sure the Endo treats thyroid and not just Diabetes, and should insist on Free T3, Free T4 and TSH levels, not just TSH Alone.  Good Luck FTB4
