Diagnosis

Ok, back to the beginning
When I was about 14 my hair starting falling out (in handfulls), I lost about 1/2 of it in total.
I was tested for Lupus and hypothyroid. My ANA test came back positive but later tests came back negative.  I was told my other tests were fine (but wasn't told the results).
I was diagnosed with Reynauds sometime in highschool as well - always cold.  Hands and feet sometimes turn blue.  My fingernails are always purple.
I have been extremely tired since I was about 16 - and was diagnosed with narcolepsy in 2005 (Age 20).  It's not just a little tired.  It's extreme fatigue - without my medication I feel so tired I could throw up. My senior year in highschool was spent sleeping about 16 hours per day. The diagnosis didn't really explain why I was tired ... just reaffirned that I was.
I started getting chest pain at about the age of 17.
My mother has RA and I was sent to see her rheumatologist.  The rheumatologist told me I have a goiter, heart murmur, weird noise in my heart (she didn't know what it was) and that my heartbeat sounds too loud for my body (I'm 5'6" about 155 lbs)
From the rheumatiologist I was sent to a cardiologist.  A few echo's have revealed pulmonary hypertension (but it seems to be decreasing - it's only borderline now) and my chest pain isn't as common anymore.
Blood tests came back normal (again I wasn't told the results) - I asked about the goiter but was told not to worry about it.
I have had episodes of rapid weight fluxuations (30lbs gain and loss) without any change to my lifestyle.  When I exercise I do not feel better or lose weight.
I have barely any appetite (I rarely eat over 900 calories per day)
I have dry eyes and low blood pressure. Brittle nails and a slowish pulse (ususally 55 - 56)
I had my last blood tests done last winter.  The results were TSH 7.0  T4 0.82  T3 13.3  Total 2.3 but I wasn't sure what that meant and my dr. said the results were fine.

I've been to so many doctors and am frustrated by the general attitude of "wait and see" - I just want to know if I should still be pursuing this.  I've kind of given up.  My boyfriend thinks that I should get a new doctor and start all over again (but I've done that before with the same results)

Anyway ... sorry it's so long ... I have a long history.  Hopefully I didn't leave anything out.
Thanks

Thanks,
Well, my mum has RA - which isn't thyroid but it is autoimmune.  Her sister has RA and hypothyroid and they just found a goiter in my cousin.
I thought that was too high ... everyone just keeps telling me my blood tests are normal.

A TSH of 7.0 is too high. Find a doc or Endocrinologist who will treat you for hypothyroidism. You also have a few symptom that fit- fatigue, slow pulse, hair loss. I also lost patches of hair in high school and wasn't diagnosed until this September even though every doctor check me for hypoT. I am now 40 yrs old and always knew it could be my thyroid.
Also have your thyroid antibodies tested and do you have any family history of thyroid disease? These things together w/ the high TSH would increase your chances of getting treatment.
If you are interested in reading about TSH and what is really normal, here is one of the best articles I have found. I also work for Quest Diagnostics in the lab and have a medical background.
